“They say nothing lasts forever …dreams change, trends come and go, but friendships never go out of style.” – Carrie BradshawNow that the holidays are officially over and I’m easing back into my normal routine, I can’t help but to stop and think of how blessed I am.
Days before Christmas, I embarked on a girls trip to Walt Disney World that I will never forget. Four girls (and, yes I would consider us girls due to our childlike fun actions on the trip) drove around 16 hours or so to The Happiest Place on Earth!
Now I must give credit where it’s due, because I am the only person who did NOT drive, so thanks everyone! Needless to say our endless amount of inside jokes and weird moments… SHAGGY will stay in my mind forever.
After a long and stressful semester of college, I needed to genuinely laugh more than I had realized.
Some of my funnest moments were spent watching the Magic Kingdom Christmas fireworks, riding “It’s A Small World,” with 3 women smaller than me, taking condiments to bring to our dearest Latrelle, dance parties in Hollywood Studios s/o to my North Carolina friends, taking my mother to her homeland of Mexico, getting trapped on the monorail and surviving Hollywood’s Tower of Terror while maintaing my pageant smile surely made this trip one for the books.
Our last day spent in Orlando didn’t turn out as planned, but it made me even more thankful for this life I’ve been blessed with and the people I share it with.
My wanderlust spirit is already awaiting the next trip we take together… xoxo, Mikay.
I want to hear your thoughts! xoxo
